Kicking off the awards process of its fresh IT Strategic Sourcing Program, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has selected Kinetic IT as its lead Enterprise Service Management partner. The potential life of the contract is 10 years. Kinetic IT, an Australian owned IT services company with a national team of over 1,300 professionals, was selected following a rigorous and competitive procurement process. Interest in the tender was high, with numerous large consulting and IT groups also putting in bids for the contract. Michael North, Chief Executive Officer at Kinetic IT, said the win was in recognition of the company’s national expertise and capabilities in IT Service Management (ITSM), as well as Service Integration and Management (SIAM). With the help of ITSM and SIAM, the Australian Taxation Office aims to streamline and optimise its business processes for customer service towards internal staff. The contract will also see Kinetic IT help the Taxation Office with improving the collaboration with external IT providers. Alongside delivering Enterprise Service Management, Kinetic IT will further support the Taxation Office with training services, providing ITIL 4 and SIAM training for approximately 500 staff. “At Kinetic IT we are recognised for our customer-centric service delivery, providing outcomes-based solutions aligned with industry best practice. Our team are looking forward to transitioning into the Taxation Office over the coming months and playing our role as a key technology partner for the agency and enabling increased innovation and collaboration,” said North. The initial contract is for three years (value: approximately $50 million), with the option to extend the agreement (3 years + 2 years + 2 years). The potential life of the contract is 10 years should the Australian Taxation Office opt to extend. In the coming months, the Australian Taxation Office will announce the results of a number of other tenders offered to the market under its IT Strategic Sourcing Program. |
