The construction work of the own building for the pre-university Technological College of the UTN in Cutral Co has already been awarded. The company Codam SA will be in charge of executing it and the term for the start is 15 days. The land is located in the west access, next to the City Park. The final project contemplates more than 3 thousand square meters of building.
The pre-university technological school that depends on the UTN has been operating in Cutral Co since 2022 when the school year opened. Currently there are 150 students who attend a building suitable for operation and ceded by the municipality.
At the beginning of the year, the tender was launched so that the building itself can be built with funds provided by the Ministry of Education of the Nation.
The work was awarded to the company Codam SA and this Wednesday the agreement was signed between the commune, the educational authorities and the representatives of the construction company.
At the signing ceremony, Mayor José Rioseco stressed that: "next year the boys will be able to have their own comfortable facilities to travel this educational journey."
In turn, the legal representative of the firm, Alfredo Tulio Maffei, expressed his commitment to start the work as soon as possible, despite the fact that the contract stipulates 15 days from the signing.
"We also take that commitment and responsibility to execute this dream for all of you," said Maffei, addressing the students who attended the event.
In this first stage, a plant of 2,319 square meters is expected to be erected. It is expected to be built in 12 months. There will be 11 common classrooms, a multimedia center, two workshop classrooms, a dining room, services, circulation, pedagogical area expansions, and access. The following stages are planned for the period 2023-2024.
In the act that took place in the foyer of the Cultural Center of Cutral Co, the dean of UTN, Pablo Liscovsky, the director of the school Daniel Flores, as well as councilors and officials of the municipal Executive attended.
