This initiative of the Province and the Nation plans to build 416 houses and 360 lots with services, a health center, a kindergarten and a secondary school. On May 17, the tender for the first stage will take place, which provides for an investment of more than $2,694 million for the first 156 houses.
The governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, led this Friday the presentation of the Sans Souci urban project, an initiative to build 416 homes and 360 lots with services to provide a comprehensive response to the housing deficit in Tandil. He was in the Auditorium of the INCAA Space of the University Cultural Center, together with the Minister of Territorial Development and Habitat of the Nation, Santiago Maggiotti; his Buenos Aires counterpart from Habitat and Urban Development, Agustín Simone; the local mayor, Miguel Ángel Lunghi; and the national deputy Rogelio Iparraguirre.
"The Sans Souci project is a milestone for the municipality of Tandil and, at the same time, a model for the urban development of the entire province of Buenos Aires," said Kicillof, adding "it is the result of a State that does not run from behind, but instead plans ahead, coordinates all the areas that are necessary and invests to guarantee access to housing, health and education”.
On May 17, the tender for the first stage will take place, which provides for an investment of more than $2,694 million for the first 156 houses. In addition to having a second phase for the construction of the remaining 260, it includes the start-up of the drinking water, sewage, electricity, stormwater and gas networks, as well as complementary tasks on sidewalks, ramps, afforestation and urban equipment.
In this sense, the Governor pointed out that "when population growth is not accompanied by a State that plans and invests, workers often find it difficult to face the costs required to access housing." "That is why we promote a State present in the entire province: it is about addressing the needs and fulfilling the rights of our people," he stressed.
The Sans Souci project will comprise three other dimensions. In educational matters, a land reserve was made for the construction of a secondary school and a kindergarten. With respect to sanitation and sanitary issues, the construction of an effluent treatment plant and a Primary Health Care Center will be tendered. Finally, in environmental terms, a public space and a park will be created in the green lung of the Centenario forest.
For his part, Iparraguirre indicated that "this project is the most important in recent decades in Tandil and comes to bring an answer to our main socioeconomic problem, which is access to housing." "It is possible thanks to the will, the political decision and the accompaniment of the Province and the Nation," he said. |
