Based on this, the municipality determined the termination of the contract due to non-compliance by the contractor in December 2022. The comprehensive restoration and ornamental lighting of the Fuente de los Españoles (as the project defines), has an official budget of 52 million pesos, and an estimated work period of 9 months, for which they calculate that in March 2024 could be finished. The works consist of the integral restoration and realization of flat and volume majolica replicas, as bulk figures of the original fountain, contemplating all of its constituent pieces and parts, and of the perimeter benches. Other works will be the new water, electricity and drainage installations; provision and placement of access covers, procedures and permits; and the installation for feeding a solar panel. In addition, it includes the provision of decorative elements, a complete decorative hydraulic system, lighting, installations and temporary protection elements. Finally, the access stairs and replica of decorative vases will be enhanced, the provision and placement of a permanent perimeter protection and a protective cover, and the ornamental renovation of the perimeter flower beds. |
