The Ministry of Health made an announcement that the Mahout Hospital Project in the Al Wusta Governorate has begun construction works. It involves the development, completion, and maintenance of a 54-bed general hospital. As a whole, it aims to provide state-of-the-art, primary and secondary healthcare options. Quite impressively, the hospital’s construction area spans 15,612 square meters. In total, the project’s development cost is over OMR 13 million.
The Mahout Hospital Project will include an accident and emergency department, medical laboratories as well as outpatient clinics. In addition to a maternity room, an operating room, and an entire radiology department. Moreover, the project will also feature a service building, internal wards, and an intensive care unit alongside a premature infant care unit.
