According to what was detailed by the provincial ministry, the agreement will also strengthen the management of Absa (Aguas Bonaerenses) and of the provincial entities linked to the water and sanitation service.

The program includes works for the readjustment and construction of aqueducts, which will increase the capacity of conducting the water service; the readjustment and construction of arsenic abatement plants, which will make the water drinkable; and the adaptation and construction of cisterns, pumping stations and water treatment plants, which will allow the treatment and storage of water in places where the water service is currently supplied by drilling or has collapsed.

Regarding the heading, Minister López spoke, who highlighted the type of loan agreed: “We continue to uphold the responsible financing policy that we started at the beginning of our administration , in which we prioritize international credit organizations, and where the Inter-American Development Bank is very important, as it is one of the main financing organizations in the province”.
Along these lines, the Kicillof government official added: "We are very grateful for the support of the national government and the IDB, in this case to continue advancing in infrastructure works that will allow us to further improve the supply of drinking water in the province, guaranteeing a better quality of life for more than 700,000 Buenos Aires residents”. |
