Work Detail |
The Provincial Directorate of Roads (DPV) carries out works to improve the quality of life of residents in the urban area of ??the town of San Vicente. At the entrance to the National University of Alto Uruguay (UNAU) building, work is being done on a 1,400-meter section that begins at Provincial Route No. 13 and ends at the property of the house of higher studies.
The work is carried out with provincial funds administered by the DPV, the project was designed and is directed entirely by technicians from the entity. In previous stages, progress was made with soil movement works and sewer construction. Currently, the asphalt paving of the road is being carried out for the connection with Provincial Route 13, at whose intersection the construction of a transit interchange and turning basins was projected, since on the north side of the route there is a local road and on the south side the Barrio Mujeres Sanvicentinas.
"In San Vicente, as we do in all the municipalities that require it, we work together with the mayor on urban and rural solutions that directly benefit the residents," explained engineer Sebastián Macias, president of the DPV.
The works respond to a broad investment plan in the city of San Vicente, where the Provincial Government, through the DPV, develops urban infrastructure to modernize the urban area and provide it with better conditions. 200 blocks of Urban Pavement were projected, which present a work progress of more than 80%, sanitation works in several neighborhoods and work on gutter and paving that are underway, to mention some of the Provincial Highway interventions.
