Suvic is now installing foundations for 17 turbines for the Isokangas and Palokangas sites
Finnish wind farm operator Exilion Tuuli is making progress with construction of two wind farms in the country, which will total 100MW and consist of 17 turbines.
The developer appointed Suvic to install a total of 17 foundations for the projects, comprising five for the Isokangas site and 12 for the Palokangas wind farm.
For the projects 16 will be implemented as rock anchor foundations and one as a gravity foundation.
Blasting work for the rock anchor foundations is underway and foundation work will be completed during the fall of 2023.
The projects will use 5.9MW Nordex N163/5.X turbines which will start to be installed in early 2024.
Exilion Tuuli, which invests in renewable energy, is owned by Elo, the Finnish State Pension Fund and Veritas.
The turbines will have a height of approximately 240 metres.
“We are really pleased to be able to implement a project together with Exelion Tuuli Ky.
“I am happy with how the project has started,” said Suvic’s construction manager Sami Sainio.
The Isokangas and Palokangas wind farms are being built in the municipality of ii, in the Northern part of Finland. |
