Work Detail |
The branched system of the aqueduct fed by the Colorado River intends to satisfy the demand for drinking water in quantity and quality for 81% of the population with a projection until 2037.
The water problem deeply marks our province, which has a very large lack of superficial aquifers and permanent lagoons in an area of ??approximately 143,500 km2; In addition, there are large sectors of the population that are affected by the sensitivity of the chemical qualities of groundwater (arsenic and fluoride).
These conditions favored the creation of the Colorado River Aqueduct, which in its 1st stage supplies 17 localities, in the second it is proposed to supply 5 more localities and with its future branches it will meet the drinking water needs of 81% of the population, projected to the year 2037.
