Today, Tuesday March 14, the president of OSSE, Guillermo Sirerol, announced at a press conference the award of a very significant work for the department of San Martín. It is a sewer collector that will directly benefit two neighborhoods: María Auxiliadora and Entre Ríos, and then there will be a whole monitoring of this 2,000-meter collector, in which all the surrounding areas will be able to connect to download at the Central Zone and Don Bosco Treatment Plant, currently operating in the department.
The work is added to the Works Master Plan, which aims to improve the sanitation percentages of each of the departments, as well as sanitation coverage throughout the province: "Today San Juan has 76 percent coverage and finishing these works, which we are carrying out, we will reach 83 percent by the end of 2023”, detailed the head of OSSE.
The work was awarded to the Inmobiliaria del Oeste company and it is estimated that it will begin in 3 or 4 weeks, depending on when all the technical part of the project is finished, and includes a 12-month execution period. In addition, he highlighted the importance of the work as it is financed with a purely provincial budget of $124,723,498.83 pesos.
For his part, Mayor Cristian Andino highlighted the strong political commitment and large investments so that more families in the department can join this sanitation: "Talking about a sanitation work implies a direct impact on the quality of life of the residents," assured.
