In the town of Winifreda, the opening of tender offers for the work "Sewage Drainage Network and Treatment Plant" took place, with an official budget updated to February 2023 of $1,538,679,518 and a work period of 540 days corridos. Two offers were received from companies interested in carrying out the work.
Technical details of the work
The town of Winifreda, located in the northeast of the Province, has an urban development to the south of the railway line. It has a complete infrastructure of potable water, telephone, gas and electricity, with paved areas in a large part of the urban area. The projected sanitation works are basically made up of a network of sewage collectors, manholes, pumping wells, conduction to the plant and a compact treatment plant. The population of Winifreda is 2,749 inhabitants, and it is planned to set up a network of collectors with a capacity for 1,311 household sewer connections. In all cases, the pipes of the collector networks will be made of PVC. At this stage, approximately 24,500 meters of collectors of different diameters are expected to be installed according to the project carried out. which consists of two stages of execution from the constructive point of view. The first stage consists of supplying the urban area with a sewage network. The second stage contemplates the rest of the town considering the connections of built lots, vacant lots and a percentage of the plots and farms of the urban commons.
During this stage of operation, three pumping stations have been planned: one is located in the northwest of the town, the second in the northeast located on a municipal property in the vicinity of San Martín street. Each of the two stations pumps the effluents from these low-lying areas to a manhole that is discharged in a gravity section and a final pumping station (EB3), located to the southeast of the city, on a property located on Circunvalación street. West, which lifts the liquids from the entire network of collectors to take them to the property destined for the treatment plant.
The drive sections from the pumping stations will consist of Class 6 PVC pipe. 440 meters of 110 mm pipe length, 1800 meters of 160 mm pipe and 1800 meters of approximately 200 mm pipe are projected, with the corresponding air and drain valves. in his trace. The liquid treatment system consisting of a Modular Treatment Plant with MBBR (Moving Bed BioReactor) system. The plant will be designed with modules suitable for liquid treatment of 1,750 inhabitants, in order to gradually increase these depending on the connections made over time, until reaching a future population of 3,500 inhabitants.
In total, two modules will be installed, one module in operation and the second module will be delivered complete, but the electromechanical parts (pumps, etc.) will remain safe and will be installed when the number of homes connected to the system so require.
Finally, the Municipality will be provided with an unobstruction equipment mounted on a four-wheel chassis with a trailer hitch, which allows correct operation and maintenance of the network.
The treated effluent will go to a forestation field, which will compensate for the loss of plant biomass due to the clearing necessary for the execution of the work, will facilitate the generation of favorable habitats for the birds of the region (nesting, feeding and refuge areas). and will give visual enhancement to the panoramic environment of the sewage treatment plant. It is estimated that this work during execution will generate some sixty jobs and the population benefited by this infrastructure work amounts to 2,800 people. Public works have a preponderant role in the Province because they bring to the localities infrastructure that improves the quality of life of its inhabitants and offer genuine places of work during the development of its execution.
