Villa Devoto: tender for the enhancement and technological adaptation of Palacio Ceci
The Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers of the City of Buenos Aires made a new public tender for the enhancement and technological adaptation of the Ceci Palace in Villa Devoto (Comuna 11). The official budget is $488,470,808.97. Bids will be opened on January 25.
The palace belongs to the Special Education School No. 28 Dr. Bartolomé Ayrolo. "The intervention project for its conservation, enhancement and technological updating, will be carried out from a comprehensive, methodical and interdisciplinary approach," says the tender document. “The progressive deterioration currently represents a threat to its intrinsic values, so it is imperative to carry out a sustained plan for the conservation and maintenance of the palace and its surroundings, with the double objective of safeguarding those values ??that have to do with its architectural characteristics. , constructive and material, as well as those that contribute to the social good and the use of the entire community”, they say in the GCBA.
Regarding the functional adequacy, it is stated: “The Palace has approximately 1,150 m2 of covered surface. The new public toilets and a new office will be located in the basement with independent access on the northwest façade. The two halls will be restored, the original kitchen area of ??the building will be kept as an exhibition, as well as its annex, the original covering of ceramic pieces will be maintained, as well as the wooden and mosaic floors with guards. It has been decided not to rehabilitate the historic elevator, and in order for the building to comply with accessibility for people with reduced mobility, a new exterior elevator has been designed on the northeast façade, which runs through the three levels of the building, basement, ground floor, and first floor. floor.
