Among other work fronts, the Municipality continues with the execution of important reconstruction and enhancement tasks in the Eva Perón Park and in the Mariano Moreno and Villa Obrera squares, as well as the Industrial Park, with the objective of recovering green spaces and contribute to environmental sanitation. Through the Argentina Hace Program, the landscaping and creation of a playground is carried out in the sector adjacent to the velodrome that had been recovered by the Municipality. There, the works (whose completion is scheduled for June) are completed by 55 percent. In that place, to date, a total of 14,000 square meters have been converted into a green area and various tasks have been carried out in the Plaza de la Memoria, such as the placement of paths, lighting, urban equipment, creation of rest areas and the construction of a sum The creation of an Environmental Interpretation Center and a Central Amphitheater are two projects in which the conversion of the nursery into a Multiple Use Room is evaluated where workshops and courses will be given. Likewise, there will be a building for pruning and two domes for greenhouses similar to those that exist in the Botanical Garden (CABA). Another of the works of great magnitude are the landscaping tasks carried out in Plaza Mariano Moreno. On that site, a playground and a kennel sector for dogs have already been incorporated. Also, a land adjacent to the railway property was recovered thanks to which, today it has more than 12 thousand square meters. The placement of new plants, trees, lighting, rest areas, drinking fountains and irrigation systems are some of the reforms completed in this emblematic green space located in the center of Remedios de Escalada next to the enhancement of the entire track skate. In addition, the tasks carried out in Plaza Villa Obrera (Eva Perón and Pergamino) already register a 70 percent progress. There, the perimeter sidewalks will be placed and the existing trees will be maintained. The work is carried out with funds from the Ministry of Public Works of the Nation and will end in June. In that order, the interventions have already been completed in the 25 de Mayo squares (a 1.80-meter fence was placed around the playground), in the General San Martín Park (a fence was installed to delimit the sector corresponding to El Club de Autos Antiguos) and in Plaza Carlos Gardel (where the Public Space area put up sidewalks, benches and perimeter fencing, rebuilt curbs, erected concrete posts on the soccer field, painted, repaired walls and games, and installed urban equipment). In addition, the Municipality works together with the Ministry of Public Works of the Nation in the UNOPS program designed by the United Nations to transform the vacant lot located on Donato Álvarez and Kloosterman streets into a playground that will have new sidewalks, perimeter fencing and urban equipment. . On the other hand, the Secretary of Urban Development together with the Ministry of Industry of the Nation is working on a paving project for the entire Avenida Ricardo Alfonsín with the aim of improving the quality of life in the area of ??the Industrial Park. The idea includes the improvement of the green spaces and the sidewalks that border it.
