The call for tenders, to condition the road network that connects the Virch with the south, would be made in the first days of March. Other works are still in the execution stage.
National Highway projected for this 2023 to resurface routes 3, a section that connects Trelew-Comodoro Rivadavia; and 25, which links the Valleys head city with Dolavon. In the case of the road that connects the Virch with the south, a tender would be called during the first days of March, although technical details remain to formalize the project.
The previously exposed work schemes are contained, along with others to be executed in Chubut, in the budget of almost 60 billion pesos that the national body allocated to this district. At the time, Julio Otero, head of National Highway in Chubut, had thanked President Alberto Fernández for his political decision to have supported public works throughout the country.
Although the works are relevant in their entirety, there are other representative ones for the region. For example, the resurfacing of the Trelew-Dolavon stretch, whose tender will be effective this year, and also includes improving the road between Trelew-Gaiman. Added to this is the Rawson Metallic Bridge. National Highway already has the executive project, the intention is to make the call for tenders this year, through Provincial Highway. The works will be financed by the Nation, but the bidding will correspond to the Province.
TRELEW-COMODORO
On the other hand, the Trelew-Uzcudum section is contained in the comprehensive resurfacing project of National Route 3, which connects Trelew-Comodoro Rivadavia. The plan would be announced by the authorities of the national road agency based in Chubut in the first days of March, an estimated date even for the call for bids. In any case, they remain to close technical details to formalize the announcement.
Regarding National Route 25, it is currently under construction, from Las Chapas to Tecka. And with respect to National Route 3, it will enter work between Puerto Madryn-Arroyo Verde; and Trelew-Comodoro.
To date, the National Highway has completed the construction of the new roundabout on National Route 3, the junction with RN A 010 and Provincial Route 4. The horizontal marking is still missing, but it has been enabled to circulate. Now the work front is located between kilometers 1410-1424, Bajo Simpson area, National Route 3.
WORKS WITH THE PROVINCE
The works carried out by the National Highway Administration with the Government of the province also continue apace: Provincial Route 17, from Trevelin to Corcovado, 30 kilometers; the first days of March the start of that work would be signed. There will also be financing to pave 30 kilometers of RP 12, from Route 40 to Gualjaina. And the 63, where the beginning of the works will soon be initialed, from José de San Martín to Route 25.
In addition, this week, on the 122nd anniversary of Comodoro Rivadavia, the commitment document was signed to execute the Provincial Route 71 work, from Cholila to the northern access to Los Alerces National Park, 20 kilometers of paving. And the conditioning of Provincial Route 37, from Cañadón Ferrays to Route 26, around 50 kilometers of route, also defined as the alternative route of Comodoro Rivadavia.

At the end of 2022, Otero pointed out that for this current year “we are going to have 21 works with a budget of more than 59,974 million pesos. This becomes the largest contribution in a road infrastructure program in the province of Chubut. Its historical. It was planned taking into account and understanding the objectives of the Government of the province in terms of road infrastructure.
Regarding the construction of the Rawson-Trelew Highway on National Route 25, Otero assured that "it is a fundamental work due to the volume of daily traffic and it is included in the 2023 budget. We are going to work to make the call to bid for this work in the first semester of 2023. This work has a budget that exceeds 7 billion pesos and an execution period of 24 months.
Otero highlighted the decision of the Minister of Public Works and our General Administrator to equip ourselves to respond to the conservation of national routes. "That was one of the key measures of this 2022, which allowed us to strengthen our road park, facing what is to come."
