Work Detail |
The Government of La Pampa authorized the call for public tenders for the work of the "Sewage Drainage Network and Treatment Plant" of Winifreda with a budget of approximately $1,133 million.
The sanitary services of drinking water and sewerage with treatment plants are fundamental in societies because they collaborate in improving the quality of life, the health of people and the care of the environment.
The Winifreda work had a pre-award that was observed because it was not convenient for the State who requested a new call for bids, on this occasion the project was modified by changing the location of the main pumping station.
The town of Winifreda has a complete infrastructure of public services and the projected sanitation works in the place are basically made up of a network of sewer collectors, manholes, pumping wells, conduction to the plant and a compact treatment plant. It is planned to enable a network of collectors with a capacity for 1,311 household sewer connections with options to be expanded.
In all cases, the pipes of the collector networks will be made of PVC Junta Elastica Integrada. At this stage, approximately 23,500 meters of Ø160mm diameter collectors and 1,000 meters of Ø 200mm are expected to be installed.
For the project, two stages of execution were contemplated from the constructive point of view. The first stage consists of supplying the sewerage network to the urban area of ??the town. The second stage contemplates the rest of the town considering the connections of built lots, vacant lots and a percentage of the plots and farms of the urban commons.
During this stage of operation, three pumping stations have been planned, one is located in the Northwest of the town, the second in the Northeast, each of the two named stations raise the effluents from these low-lying areas to a manhole that they discharge. In a gravity section and a last pumping station (EB3) that was relocated in relation to the initial project, the Municipality resolved by acquiring land on the same local road that leads to the Treatment Plant. It is at this site where the liquids coming from the entire network of collectors are raised to take them to the property destined for the treatment plant.
The discharge sections from the pumping stations will consist of Class 6 PVC pipe. A length of 440m of Ø 110 mm pipe, 1800 m of Ø 160 mm pipe and 1800 m of Ø 200 mm approximately are projected, with the corresponding air valves. and drain in its trace.
The liquid treatment system consisting of a Modular Treatment Plant with MBBR (Moving Bed Bio Reactor) system. The plant will be designed with modules suitable for liquid treatment of 1,750 inhabitants, in order to gradually increase these depending on the connections made over time, until reaching a future population of 3,500 inhabitants.
In total, 2 modules will be installed, one module in operation and the second module will be delivered complete, but the electromechanical parts (pumps, etc.) will remain safe and will be installed when the number of homes connected to the system so require. Finally, the Municipality will be provided with an unobstruction equipment mounted on a 4-wheel chassis with a trailer hitch, which allows correct operation and maintenance of the network.
The treated effluent will go to a forestation field, which will compensate for the loss of plant biomass due to the clearing necessary for the execution of the work, will facilitate the generation of favorable habitats for the birds of the region (nesting, feeding and refuge areas). and will give visual enhancement to the panoramic environment of the sewage treatment plant.
It is estimated that during the execution of the work about seventy people will be employed.
The estimated population benefited by this infrastructure work amounts to 2,800 people.
