Work Detail SABIC, NWC sign MoU with Oil Sustainability Programme Saudi Arabia’s Oil Sustainability Programme has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with petrochemicals major Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and state-owned National Water Company (NWC) to collaborate in the utilisation of polymeric materials in the water sector. The areas of cooperation involve developing business solutions and joint ventures to improve the quality of water networks and in-depth study of water sector promoting initiatives, the Ministry of Energy said in an Arabic language press statement. The pact will help advance the use of polymer-based applications in the water sector and increase localisation via local value chain stages in the water sector. The three entities will support research and development on polymer-based applications and exchange know-how on water projects. The Riyadh-headquartered Oil Sustainability Programme was established under the umbrella of the Supreme Committee for Hydrocarbon Materials. The programme will work under a supervisory committee chaired by the Minister of Energy and includes members from 17 main government entities, institutions, and companies in the Kingdom.
