The Ministry of Infrastructure, Public Services and Habitat, through the Provincial Directorate of Roads, will open the envelopes of public tenders No. 7 and 8 of 2023 next Tuesday, March 7 from 10:00 a.m. to execute horizontal and vertical signaling works in the northern and southern areas of the province.
The works will be distributed using National Route No. 19 as a limit and from there they will extend to the provinces of Chaco and Buenos Aires, respectively. Each tender has an official budget of $605,911,569.92 and an execution period of 15 months.
In this regard, the General Administrator of the DPV, Oscar Ceschi, stressed: "It is important to have these works active because when a fault is detected in the demarcation of the road or in the signage, the contractor company can go to solve it quickly. There are many times that potholes or resurfacing are carried out and in this way you can act faster.”
In order to improve safety, prevention, regulation and guidance for drivers, among other interventions, demarcation will be made with reflective thermoplastic paint for the central axis and with acrylic paint on the border lines; optical sound bands will be executed; pavement graphology at schools, railroad crossings, intersections, and crosswalks; reflective studs in areas of bifurcations.
It should be noted that there will be no specific sections of routes where action is required, but rather the routes will be indicated from the work inspections.
