Work Detail | In a bid to keep the Central Government’s one of the most ambitious projects, Namami Gange, away from man-made hurdles, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma on Saturday directed United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) officials to accelerate the execution of the programmes associated with it. During a review meeting, the CS asked UNDP officials to get all programmes and processes included under this project done within time, so that a wholesome development of 78 villages of 33 panchayats situated around river banks of Ganga in Jharkhand could be visible. SPMG Project Director RK Sharma said that Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Solid Liquid Waste Management (SLWM) in two villages would be prepared in September, and the construction of all the bio-toilets is also expected to be completed in next month itself. He said that DPR for construction of 32 bathrooms and 9 crematoriums in 78 villages was also being prepared.
