SnapNracks TopSpeed ??Solar Mount begins installation in the ground, limiting time spent on rooftops.
SnapNrack has announced TopSpeed, an innovative new support for solar panels designed to be attached to the panel in the ground, before being hoisted onto the roof for installation.
The mounting systems provider said the new product aims to reduce installation times and limit time spent on rooftops. According to SnapNrack, time spent on rooftops can be reduced by more than 50% compared to traditional solutions. This redounds to the benefit of the security of the installers.
Brackets are attached to the roof, leveled and aligned on the SnapNrack Universal Skirting. The process helps to simplify the placement of materials and the assembly of the shelves.
The installation process consists of three steps. First of all, the TopSpeed ??brackets are attached to the solar modules. This is followed by cable management and placement of Smart Clips and Module Level Power Electronics (MLPE) rack kits. These first two steps are carried out on the ground, while the universal skirt is placed on the roof. Finally, the modules are quickly attached to the skirt.
The product is UL listed and rated to withstand wind loads of 90 to 180 mph and up to 90 pounds per square foot of snow load. All brackets are attached with a patented 1/2-inch head wood screw and shingle sealant. Design allows for one-tool installation. The mounting system includes new features such as retaining fixings and deck brackets.
The product is constructed of 300 series stainless steel and aluminum alloy. It is finished on the top with a black oxide joint bolt and clip and black anodized clamp, while the bottom has a mill finish. . It is approved for installations with a roof pitch of between zero and 90 degrees.
The product will be on display at Intersolar North America 2023 in Long Beach, California at the SnapNrack booth from February 14-16. |
