Work Detail |
In the evaluation, the company Vial Tec SA was the successful bidder, which competed with Decavial Saica, while a third party was rejected. The work will take place between kilometers 258 (Puente del Inca street) and 259.35 (Roque Vázquez), with the construction of two distributors.
National Highway awarded the contract for the work of the highway, in the urban crossing of Route 7 in Junín, between kilometers 258 (Puente del Inca street) and 259.35 (Roque Vázquez), with an execution period of 18 months and an investment of $3,598,797,197.58.
It should be remembered that the opening of envelopes was carried out on June 6, 2022, within the framework of the public tender for a section belonging to the project for the transformation into a highway between Luján and Junín, 196 kilometers long.
Among the two firms evaluated, Vial Tec SA was the winner, which competed with Decavial Saica, while that of the company José Cartellone Construcciones Civiles SA was rejected, since "it presents debt in situation 4 that exceeds 20% of the net worth of the last year", and "does not meet the requirements in relation to its legal, technical and economic-financial capacity", reported from the agency.
Among the works, the construction of a distributor is planned at the junction with Route 65 (Km 258.39), which will be raised to two levels, of the "trumpet" type, since the route of the provincial route does not continue to the north .
At kilometer 258.67, with a “diamond” type distributor, Circunvalación avenue will rise above the national road and three roundabouts will be formed: North, South and the access to the new Bus Terminal implanted in that sector.
As indicated in the tender, the highway project also includes paved collectors on both sides, intersections at different levels and total access control. With this the speed of circulation can rise to 100 kilometers per hour. In this way, continuity will be given to the dual carriageway of the previous section inaugurated last year, between Junín and Chacabuco, a town where, in addition, the 23-kilometer variant is being built, a route that surrounds and avoids going through the urban area.
Among other tasks to be carried out, there are new linking bridges over the Salado River crossing in both collectors, thus obtaining a continuity of these streets throughout the section; lighting of interchanges and collector streets, and horizontal demarcation and vertical signaling according to a highway.
From Vialidad they recalled that this route was included in "the famous works with Public Private Participation (PPP) financing that were stopped." “We are working to carry out the works that Macri promised with the PPPs through debt and which were 60% more expensive than what they cost today. We are going to finance it with national funds”, they affirmed.
“The same thing happened with the section of the urban crossing of Carmen de Areco that was already awarded. The same UTE of the Chacabuco variant has it”, they highlighted.
Circunvalación interchange
As reported by National Highway, the design that has been planned for the Circunvalación avenue interchange is diamond type with weights (roundabouts). At the interchange, the entrance and exit branches of the main carriageway merge with the cross road with acceleration and deceleration lanes, and then connect with the roundabouts.
The front collectors also come together at the roundabouts, with which the distributor makes it possible to carry out all movements, whether it is mobility for passing traffic on the main road or access for local traffic through the interconnection of both collector streets.
As indicated in the work plan, "the municipality of Junín will be in charge of the execution of the North roundabout, which will facilitate and order the access traffic to the Bus Terminal, together with the station entrance roundabout and its respective connections. It should be noted that the connection of the North roundabout with the right collector 02 is not the responsibility of the municipality, since the executive project and its execution will be the responsibility of the contractor company.
Crossing in Carmen de Areco
On September 21 of last year, the general administrator of Vialidad Nacional, Gustavo Arrieta, signed the contract to continue with the transformation of National Route 7 into a highway, in the section that extends from Carmen de Areco - Km 138.35 to Km 141– until the access distributor to Gouin –Km 137.87–. The progress of this work is essential for the productive matrix of the region, since it unites the main agricultural centers of the northwest of the province of Buenos Aires.
The project, financed by the Ministry of Public Works through an investment of more than $1.9 billion, was part of the Public Private Participation (PPP) scheme of the previous government administration.
Its execution will be in charge of a Transitory Union of Companies (UTE) made up of Constructora Dos Arroyos SA, Semisa Infraestructura SA and HOMAQ SA, winners of the bidding process to which six bidders had appeared. |
