They will invest more than $117 million to value police stations in the south of the province
The Minister of Security, Luciano Anastasi, signed agreements with mayors to carry out 16 works in police buildings.
The Minister of Security, Luciano Anastasi, signed agreements in the town of Buena Esperanza to carry out renovation works and enhancement of police buildings in Regional Unit 4, in the south of the province. The works will be executed by the mayors of the region, which will mean an injection of funds that will allow the hiring of suppliers and local labor.
“We continue working with the mayors to guarantee that the money from the investments remains in each of the towns. Through the signed agreements, 16 works will be carried out in 11 locations that will mean an investment of 117.4 million pesos”, the minister explained about the works that are part of the Building Modernization Plan of the Ministry of Security. The program contemplates building and infrastructure improvements for 186 properties (police stations, sub-stations, barracks and police detachments) throughout the province. "Our goal is that, during the first half of next year, we can complete the modernization of all the police buildings that exist in the province," Anastasi said.
The mayors who signed the agreements were: Fernando Larroudé from Buena Esperanza, Sergio Moreyra from Nueva Galia, Diego Gatica from Fortín El Patria, Diego Seguel from Batavia, Diego Lucero from Fortuna and Jorge Figueroa from Arizona. In the case of Moreyra, he will also carry out the works in the police buildings of Anchorena, Colonia La Verde and Unión. Diego Lucero will do the same with the work to be carried out in the Bagual detachment.
“We are very happy to be part of this joint effort between the provincial government, through the Ministry of Security, and the municipalities. These works are going to give an economic injection to the department, since the local workforce will work, together with the municipalities”, expressed the senator for the Governor Dupuy department, Diamela Freixes.
For Mayor Larroudé, it is a spectacular initiative, which will add economic movement in the town and will allow "putting our Police Station in optimal conditions, which is a very old building with a very beautiful façade but which has become obsolete due to the passage of years and the growth of the town”.
For his part, Moreyra highlighted that the agreements make it possible to form "a virtuous circle generating local labor, also ensuring that the money stays in our localities", and also "we will meet the expectations of the police so that they can work comfortably and with quality of life".
With the agreements signed today, the Building Modernization Plan has 54 works in progress distributed in 35 locations, with a total investment of $382,611,805 million.
