Work Detail |
The Federation of Rwandan Football Association recently completed constructing the 88-room FERWAFA hotel after almost five years. The FIFA Goal Project Development Program includes the FERWAFA Hotel as part of its goal to support developing countries in establishing the facilities and infrastructure necessary to promote the growth of football. The 88-room facility’s construction was planned to cost Rwf4 billion and was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016. However, due to financial limitations, construction was halted in 2018 when it was half complete. After receiving $2.5 million from the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) via FIFA, FERWAFA commenced construction on the hotel in August 2021, constructing the first phase’s 40 rooms. The FIFA Congress will be held in Kigali on March 16, and according to the federation’s deputy spokesman Jules Karangwa, they are going to study how it will be administered so that the FIFA Congress can find a well-functioning hotel. |
