Work Detail |
The works at the Paraná planetarium, which is located in the Nuevo Humberto Varisco Park, will resume in March 2023. This was announced by the municipal mayor, Adán Bahl, after signing the agreement with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Nation in charge of Daniel Filmus, who will grant the necessary financing for the completion of the work.
Work on the planetarium had been attempted to resume in July of this year, but it could not be continued because the construction entails a significant budget for the municipality. In this regard, Adán Bahl mentioned that "it has been many months of work and search for the necessary financing, because it is an investment that is outside the scale of the Municipality of Paraná."
As projected, the planetarium will have state-of-the-art technology, establishing this place as one of the most important astronomical centers in the region. The central element will be a vaulted screen made of special material and shapes, two digital projectors, together with a sound system installed in the main room that will have 80 seats.
In addition to the main room, the work also involves the construction of offices and an exhibition space related to astronomy and scientific dissemination. According to the Entre Ríos Astronomy Association (AEA), having a planetarium makes it possible for more people to become interested in astronomy and for it to be a place of enjoyment for boys and girls.
Bahl remarked that "it is a very important work of science and technology, linked to both education and tourism." Parque Nuevo, where the construction is located, is a privileged space in Paraná, where Paraná residents and visitors can enjoy the tranquility and an exceptional view of the entire city.
