The expansion and renovation works of the "Educadores Pampeanos" Secondary School, located in the Rucci neighborhood of General Pico, are advancing at a good pace. The investment exceeds 53 million pesos.
The Public Works Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works and Services is carrying out the work to expand and repair the building of the secondary school with the addition of three classrooms, a room for tutors, a storage room and a new circulation linking the new sector with the existing one. «The intervention responds to the need to have new and more spaces that allow expanding the enrollment of students and granting places according to the situation, in which teachers, managers, assistants and adolescents can develop pedagogical, social and cultural activities in environments planned for them", they reported. The construction investment exceeds $53 million and the delivery period is 450 days. «The characteristics of the construction used in the extension is the so-called traditional, with masonry and concrete structure, the sheet metal cover to give continuity to the original architectural line of the existing building. The company in charge of the intervention is from the Pampas and employs local labor; the majority of the workers reside in the city of General Pico or towns in the area. The necessary inputs in the construction are acquired in that locality, except for some that due to their characteristics or specificities are not found in the local market,” they added.
