Work Detail | An Ohio chemical and ink company has joined the growing list of firms taking legal action against shuttered paper company Climax Manufacturing Co. for alleged non-payment. The company abruptly shuttered its operation April 1. The suit also names Carthage Specialty Paperboard, which was split off from Climax several years ago. Paperworks Industries Inc., Chicago, in April filed a similar lawsuit claiming Climax owes it $257,810.62 for unpaid paper product shipments. Then, in June, White Birch Paper Canada, Quebec City, filed a claim for $243,966.95 worth of paper rolls, while Belting Solutions and Supplies LLC, Baldwinsville, earlier this month filed a claim for $7,281.78 worth of unspecified products. |
