Judicial City for the North
The Court of Justice will build in Jáchal the Judicial City of the Second Circumscription, also called City for the North. The construction will require an investment of 140 million pesos within three years. The funds earmarked for the work come from the budget of the Judiciary itself.
The land is ceded by the Municipality of Jáchal to the Judiciary. It is located at Calle San Martín 454 and has a surface area of ??2,000 meters. The total work will have 3,000 m².
Currently, the Judiciary of Jáchal is operating in the building of the Municipality of that town. Specifically, the Second Judicial Circumscription (Jáchal and Iglesia), the Justice of the Peace, the Lawyers Office and the Real Estate Registry function on the first floor of the building.
Officials and employees in the Second Circumscription
The Court, after an institutional crisis due to the lack of magistrates, and faced with the claim that the jachalleros have been making, decided to appoint personnel, officials and magistrates with residences in Jáchal. Within three years, the Court appointed 10 officials and employees in the Second Circumscription (Jáchal and Iglesia).
Among the employees, 6 were appointed who entered as clerks in the 2015 entrance contest. In addition, 3 judicial officers (criminal and civil clerks) who are natives or residents of Jáchal were appointed.
For the vacant positions of the Magistracy, in 2017 the Court made an agreement in which it was made mandatory to have legal domicile in Jáchal or Iglesia. Likewise, that address must be at least 6 months old prior to the contest.
The now Jáchal judge, Eduardo Javier Alonso, served for several years as criminal pro-secretary. He has lived in Jáchal for 14 years, and his wife is a lawyer from Jáchal.
