The Ministry of Public Works and Services proceeded to open the envelopes of the Public Tender for the exterior renovation of the façade and roof of the Provincial Water Administration building. The official budget updated to October 2022 is 91,266,739.47 and the work period is 210 calendar days. There were two bidding companies: Canalis, Antonella, which quoted $98,679,078.08, and Ledesma, Zulema, which submitted an offer of $106,210,542.23.
The Provincial Water Administrator, Fabricio González Martin, and General Director of Public Works, Sergio Melián, were present at the event. "This is a long-awaited work by the agents of the Provincial Water Administration (APA), since this historic building, from 1943, has undergone various modifications and has a state of deterioration typical of its number of years," he explained. González Martín.“This year we managed to include starting amounts in our budget to carry out this first stage of repairs and maintenance of facades. As well as the renovations of all the complete covers of the building of approximately 1,000 square meters. We are very happy to be able to start these first stage works and we hope that in later stages we can achieve the internal remodeling already planned for the complete refunctionalization of the building," he added. "In this case, as it is a building of historical heritage interest, the Municipal Historical Heritage Commission also intervened and gave its go-ahead to make the spare parts for the tile roofs that are available and giving its guidelines to respect what is all the external morphology of the buildings façade," said the official. In this line, he stressed that "the architectural style will be maintained, trying to respect even the original materials and everything that is the repair of the external carpentry and some deteriorated floors." |
