As of October 2022, the great work reached more than 41% of its execution. Work has been carried out on the Gran Tulum I Aqueduct, on the Punta Negra Water Treatment Plant and on complementary works.
The mega work called "Aqueducto Gran Tulum" (AGT) has already achieved a certification of 41.74%. At present, work continues in the different sectors of aqueducts that make it up.
Work is carried out in parallel in four important sectors:
The Gran Tulum I Aqueduct, which began with the works in May, has a length of 5,561 meters, from Las Moras and San Martín streets to the derivation of the Marquesado aqueduct in the Garden of Poets.
Its greatest feature is its stainless steel pipe (AI) of 1,400 and 1,600 millimeters in diameter.
To date, the hydraulic test of a 300-meter section of A°I° 1,400 pipe has been carried out, which was satisfactory in all the parameters evaluated.
Likewise, filling and compaction works continue in another section.
In the sector of the Punta Negra Water Treatment Plant of the mega-project, work is being done on three fronts: two that are developed in both cisterns (Cisterna No. 1 and No. 2), and the third front that is carried out in the construction of the Filter Battery No. #1.
This work is being built at the foot of the Punta Negra Dam and is planned to supply a future population of 1 million inhabitants.
Complementary works
A sewer impulsion pipe (4,417 meters of HDPE pipe) is being installed parallel to the Gran Tulum III Aqueduct, from the area of ??the Soldano Dam to a point in front of the “Loma Negra” cement factory.
During the last week of October, the crossing under the Estero Canal was completed, for which it was necessary to diagram the water cut with Hydraulics personnel.
From where the sewer impulsion pipe ends, the Sewer Collector work is carried out, which consists of installing 7,708 meters of gravity sewer pipe before reaching the Céspedes Canal.
Currently, it continues with the reinstallation of pipes and hydraulic tests. And at the intersection of Avenida José Ignacio de la Roza with the Céspedes canal, they are working on the crossing of said pipe with the canal.
To date, the mega work has an investment amount of $7,609,557,133.18, which is financed with funds from the Nations Water Resources; Province, OFID, Kuwait-. And, the execution of the work is in charge of the UTE Benito Roggio e Hijos SA (51%), Mapal SACIA (34%), Sigma SA (15%). |
