Starting next month, the new concessionaire will take over the building. It was decided to advance this administrative process to start before 2023 with the works and mitigate the impact of inflation on the cost.
The new concessionaire of the San Francisco Bus Terminal Station, the firm BBB Express, whose owner is Guillermo Quiroga, will take possession of the property from next December 1 and from the same month the renovation works will begin.
The inauguration will take place 30 days ahead of schedule due to inflation and to be able to begin construction as soon as possible, according to what LA VOZ DE SAN JUSTO learned. The work plan contemplates an investment of about 37 million pesos.
In this way, general cleaning and roofing work will be carried out in December to continue later with painting and electrical tasks in the building located on the corner of Juan B. Justo and 9 de Julio.
According to the specifications of the public tender regarding the works that the new concessionaire must carry out, among other things, it is established: general revision of the toilets; waterproofing of roofs, painting in general and replacement of seats in the ticket office sector; arrangements in the reporting office and premises on the ground and upper floors; complete painting, repair of plastering and flooring in the confectionery; repair of lighting fixtures and electrical installations in general, both indoors and outdoors; commissioning of a first aid room and the general information center; lighting and air conditioning inside the room.
For the exterior, the construction of eaves over restrooms for ladies and people with disabilities and painting in metallic elements was requested; repair or replacement of flooring in the platform area; sidewalk repair; ramps for people with disabilities; general conditioning and painting of the building; landscaping and repair of flowerbeds; roof cover and storm drains: waterproofing of the entire roof, control funnels, drains.
«We are looking for the ETO to become a commercial and recreational promenade, a pleasant and beautiful place with the possibility of shopping, dining, a beer garden to enjoy a summer afternoon. I dream that each person who steps on the Terminal leaves with a nice experience," Quiroga had stated after winning the tender.
He also announced that 4 commercial premises will be added to the wing facing 9 de Julio and also that they will work so that more long-distance bus companies connect San Francisco with the most important points in Argentina. "One of the objectives that we set ourselves is that through the ETO the city is more connected with the rest of the country," said Quiroga.
BBB Express SAS is dedicated to transport, offering distribution, storage and movement services for small and large loads. The ETO will operate for a term of 8 years after winning the tender from the other firm that had fulfilled the formal requirements of the process, Termini SA, a company dedicated to the gastronomic sector and in charge of the concession for several years. |
