The governor of the province, Oscar Herrera Ahuad, together with the Coordinating Minister of the Cabinet, Ricardo Wellbach, met this Friday with representatives of 22 municipalities, where an agreement was signed with the National Entity of Water and Sanitation Works (ENOHSA) that includes various works of provision of water in the benefited localities.
One of them will be San Ignacio, where drilling, elevated tank and water supply work will be carried out for the entire Puerto Viejo neighborhood. “It is a high-impact job since it allows us to bring drinking water to more and more people. Especially for the summers that are getting hotter due to climate change, and for which it is important to have a good supply of water »said Mayor Javier Peralta in dialogue with the Guacurarí Radio Network.
The tender will be entirely in charge of the Province of Misiones and it is expected that the works will be approved and ready to start in a month at the latest. They will be carried out by provincial companies that, in addition, will give work to many inhabitants within the province and the municipality itself.
Although it is a great water project, this is not the only one carried out within San Ignacio since, through its own management, drinking water has also been brought to four communities of native peoples that are far from the urban area. In addition, they are thinking of helping the Volunteer Fire Department with a rapid attack unit against fire to suffocate fires, which were a problem for the community in the last summer period. |
