The provincial government will put out to tender again the work of storm drains and road infrastructure for the western neighborhood of General Acha because the previous one was declared deserted. The amount of the work was updated and went from 581 to 822 million pesos.
It was officially reported that on November 17 the public tender will be held for the "Road and hydraulic infrastructure work for the West District of the city of General Acha", with an official budget of $822,290,615.61. “The same administrative act had been carried out last February, but a second call was decided upon having declared the previous one void,” they indicated from the Province. Three bids had been submitted in that tender: Ecop Construcciones SRL, Ilka Construcciones SRL and Jorge Omar Jubete.
The work will directly benefit 966 families and had been announced by Governor Sergio Ziliotto during one of his visits to the town. The provincial president maintained that advancing with the culmination of the project constituted a kind of "historical reparation" to the Achense citizens.
Mayor Abel Sabarots said that the work “comes to solve a large part of our problems. General Acha has a relief that causes collapses and floods, we have used palliatives, such as the entoscado or some diverting element towards the eastern channel, but they are not the basic solution». He remarked that “it is very easy to manage when there are points of agreement with the Provincial Government, and we have had them from the first day. I have no doubt that we will continue working so that Acha is a different city after the management of Sergio Ziliotto. We are going to work in that sense together, because both of us, even with different political colors, know that the most important thing is to solve the problems of the people, "
