Materials arrive for lighting at intersections
After almost 10 months since the road safety works were put out to tender, this week the materials began to arrive for the start-up of the lighting works at the intersections of National Route 5 with Provincial Route 1, in Catriló and in Lonquimay, and with the 7 between Uriburu and Anguil. The tasks are in charge of the company ECOP Construcciones SRL.
The Provincial Directorate of Roads is developing a lighting plan at the crossroads of provincial roads in the Pampas that began in the previous administration and was deepened in the current one, also contemplating the crossroads of national routes for more than 1,900 million pesos, which collaborates with the prevention and road safety of the programs that the Province has underway.
On Tuesday, from a semi-trailer truck they began to lower the columns - more than 50 - at the Catriló intersection and yesterday morning they did so in the vicinity of the Lonquimay intersection. "The start of work is imminent," said municipal authorities of both locations.
Delay.
The lighting in these intersections of routes is an old claim that users and local authorities have been making. It is that in those dark intersections there have been several road accidents, some of them with fatalities.
Last year, after several requests, the provincial government finally announced that the lighting at these intersections and otos in La Pampa would be put out to tender. On December 29, in a ceremony held at the Provincial Road Administration, headed by the Minister of Works and Public Services, Julio Rojo, the president of the Provincial Road Administration, Rodrigo Cadenas and representatives of the organization, the works were put out to tender. of illumination in several road crossings, among them the one of the 5 and 1, in its two sections -Catriló and Lonquimay- and the one of the 5 and 7, to the east of Anguil.
However, it was only after seven months that the contracts for the lighting works at these road intersections were signed. In addition, lighting was incorporated on route 1, in Catriló, to the north, in the vicinity of the intersection with the railway tracks. |
