The Provincial Road Administration (DPV) opened the bidding envelopes for works destined for the Pilcomayo river system.
In this regard, the general administrator of the DPV, engineer Javier Caffa, stated that "there are three works of great importance, to be carried out in the Pilcomayo river system", mentioning that they are cleaning and channeling works for slides, ranging from the area of ??Sombrero Negro to San Cayetano.
In that order, he indicated that they will carry out the intervention of another three sections of 56 kilometers of the 89 that are planned for this year.
In this way, the official highlighted the importance of these works, explaining that "by cleaning the slides, it allows, on the one hand, to manage or mitigate the effects of the sedimentation that the river waters bring."

“On the other hand, it directs the waters towards the Bañado La Estrella system,” he added, valuing that this allows the vital liquid to be available as a reserve for a large part of the province.
Following this line, Caffa remarked that "doing this task on time avoids the clogging of the slides that we currently have and later the overflowing of the Pilcomayo River flood, which has as a consequence, affectations to the communities."
In this context, he affirmed that "the provincial government works permanently in this area" highlighting the accompaniment of the national government.
Finally, the head of DPV reported that "we have the resources by the agreement signed by the Secretary of Water Resources of the Nation", attributing this to "the steps taken by Governor Gildo Insfrán". |
