To Present the Paving Project for Edison and Arribálzaga Avenues
25-Sep-22 In the framework of the planning of road corridors for Resistencia, municipal authorities of Resistencia and Provincial Roads presented the paving project for Edison and Arribálzaga avenues in a public hearing, where neighbors were able to obtain information about the work and make their contributions.
The works will be divided into two sections, the first takes Edison Avenue from Tránsito Cocomarola Street to España Avenue; and the second covers Arribálzaga avenue between Edison and Castelli avenues.
The objective of this task is to provide better circulation and accessibility to the southern area of ??Resistencia, which is a densely populated sector, add and improve basic infrastructure such as lighting, the storm drainage system and green recreation spaces.
CONNECTIVITY FOR THE SOUTH ZONE
The Secretary of Planning, Infrastructure and Environment, Guillermo Monzón, stated that "this is a very important work for the southern part of the city, and includes a paving of approximately 2.5 kilometers that will provide greater connectivity, responding to one of the the historical claims of this sector”.
In the same sense, he explained that “with the urban corridors, the idea is to integrate and link neighborhoods and benefit about 20 thousand inhabitants who live in this sector, which lacked basic infrastructure, connectivity and accessibility, to which pedestrian paths will be added. and afforestation”.
He also stressed that "the pavement improves all services, from public transport, through waste collection and even the health and safety service."
THE WORK
The Provincial Road Administrator, Hugo Varela, pointed out that "this work will have a budget of 6 million dollars and where lighting, storm drains and green spaces for the recreation of neighbors are contemplated, always with the fundamental objective of favoring the circulation of those who live in the area”.
In addition, he announced that "by October it is expected to be able to publish the notices of calls for bids, then it will be necessary to open offers, award and contract, and it is projected to start with the work in the first months of next year and will end in 12 months". |
