With an investment of more than 1,200 million pesos, the offer presented by the company Dinale SA for the first stage of the new building of Detention Unit No. 11, located in Centenario, is currently being studied. Three projects are underway to expand accommodation capacity in the provinces detention units. These are Detention Units No. 11 of Centenario -currently in the offer analysis stage-, No. 22 of Cutral Co, and No. 32 of Zapala. From the Directorate of Penitentiary Affairs and Policies of the Security Secretariat, it was reported that from the beginning of 2022 to the present, more than 112 million pesos have been allocated to attend to matters related exclusively to prison infrastructure. Through this investment, two maximum security and education pavilions will be built, a machine room, a sector for the education pavilion, eight sentry boxes, walls and security fences. The pavilions will function independently of the existing buildings within the site, totaling 2,738 square meters. Similarly, the installation of water, electricity, sewage, heating, gas and emergency works will be carried out. The pavilion will have capacity for 26 detainees, and will be divided into a ground floor, an upper floor, a technical floor, a machine room and sentry boxes; while the construction system will be reinforced concrete, masonry and partitions, finishes, roofs, carpentry, among others. |
