Three companies compete for the repair work of bridges of the branch to Pinamar
Three companies compete for the repair work of four metal bridges of the General Guido - Divisadero branch of Pinamar. The tender, launched by SOFSE last March, aims to improve the state of the branchs infrastructure, which was reactivated last year after five years without operating.

A total of three companies submitted to the tender for the structural repair of four metal bridges of the General Guido – Divisadero de Pinamar branch, which had been launched by Trenes Argentinos Operaciones (SOFSE) last March.
The offers from Dipronor, Baires Ferrovial and Construmerica Oys are under analysis by SOFSE, which is expected to award the tender shortly.
The tendered work includes the comprehensive repair of four open-deck metal bridges -of a total of 23 that the branch has-, which are located at progressives 262,637; 263,940; 276,600 and 285,696.
According to the specifications, the work to be carried out includes the repair of the main metal beams, the replacement of diagonals and cross bracing, the repair of support devices, fixings and bolts, the application of anticorrosive treatments on the metal structures and the replacement of defective sleepers on said bridges.
The works aim to complement the road improvement works tendered in 2020, which included the replacement of sleepers and rails, the treatment of joints and fixings (replacement or adjustment) and the performance of aluminothermic welding, among other interventions.
These works allowed the rehabilitation of the rail service to Divisadero de Pinamar in January 2021, after more than five years of inactivity. Since then, the service has worked without major difficulties – it has a daily frequency in each direction, which operates in combination with the trains on the Mar del Plata route – and has been a great success for passengers.
It should be noted that in both cases, despite the fact that they are infrastructure works – by definition ADIFs responsibility – the tenders were carried out by SOFSE. This lack of a precise delimitation of powers between the different state railway companies is something that had already been reflected in other previous episodes.
