“We think that despite the inconvenience caused by the works, there is a general consensus that it is an environmental and economic nonsense to produce water and that it is then lost due to breaks in the network, so that is why this program with Enohsa and others that we have in execution with the organism”, highlighted Bahl.
"These are pipes up to 120 years old that permanently break and generate poor provision of water service," Bahl explained, stressing that the work will be done "using a cutting-edge methodology, such as tunnels, so there will be no important breaks in the streets of the downtown area”.
"We thank the national government, Enrique Cresto and Enohsa, and also Governor Gustavo Bordet for his personal disposition," he said, adding that he is sure that "this cooperation is the product not only of political will, but also that the municipal government has He has been very efficient and transparent in all the programs he is in charge of, which is the basis for the continuity of the work”, he emphasized.
The work will also generate an environmental and economic benefit since "millions of liters of water are permanently made drinkable, which is partly lost when the pipes break," Bahl stressed, for which it is a work that will bring a "concrete, comprehensive" response. and fundamental to a historical problem of the city».
The Mayor also recalled that the replacement of old pipes is one of the many works managed or underway. Currently, he highlighted, Smart Networks 1 is being executed, which consists of placing flow meters and valves to manage the network in certain places in the city; the construction of the South Distribution Center, which will definitively solve the water problem in that sector of Paraná; and a new plant with an aqueduct to provide fresh water to cities in the metropolitan area such as Colonia Avellaneda, San Benito and Oro Verde.
Cresto, for his part, congratulated “Mayor Bahl and his entire team for the management they are carrying out, transforming Paraná not only in water and sanitation, but on many fronts. The capital of Entre Ríos today is the protagonist with some 60 work fronts, including national, provincial and municipal, that are open”.
Then, Cresto said that for the first time investments and works are made to provide a good distribution of water, with replacement of networks, new cisterns and distribution centers.
