The next stages include the completion of the on-call service, the pharmacy sector and the new diagnostic imaging rooms, with an investment of 706 million pesos to be carried out next year.
The mayor expressed himself regarding the announcement: “It is great news for the entire community of Luján de Cuyo, it is a request that we have been insistently making, understanding the urgent need for the health service that we need.”
"I want to thank Governor Rodolfo Suarez for understanding the importance of this issue for the people of Lujan, by deciding to advance in this work, even in the complex economic context of the country," Sebastián Bragagnolo said in a statement.
In the same meeting, both presidents defined the commitment to continue with a third stage to be able to complete the works, so that the hospital can provide all the services and function fully.
WHEN THE WORKS BEGUN
The construction of a departmental hospital project began in 2014. Since then, the districts of Perdriel, Agrelo, Ugarteche and El Carrizal hope to be treated at the Luján de Cuyo Hospital located on the west side of the South Access and Quintana street.

Since then, progress has been made with the construction of the first stage, which was estimated to be completed by the end of 2019. At that time, the first phase was almost completed when the Covid-19 pandemic struck. In this way, the already built facilities that encompassed the Luján de Cuyo outpatient clinics were put to the service of vaccination against said disease.
Since then, the works have been stopped and only the construction of the external clinics has been completed, which will have dental clinics, nutrition, gynecology-obstetrics, pediatrics and medical clinic. In addition to having a base for the Coordinated Emergency Service, it is expected that progress will be made with the other stages to offer highly complex care. |
