The Chilean National Electrical Coordinator has just inaugurated the new facilities of the National Energy Dispatch Center (CDC), which have an infrastructure designed and built exclusively to operate the electrical system throughout the country. It has a photovoltaic system, is anti-seismic and has received international certifications for its sustainability.
The new headquarters of the CDC is located in the commune of Pudahuel, in the northwest of the city of Santiago, the capital of Chile, and is made up of two buildings, the National Energy Dispatch Center (CDC) and the Office Building, where the more than 350 professionals that make up the National Electrical Coordinator will work.
The building complex has more than 20,000 square meters built, anti-seismic technology, solar panels, international certifications and is presented as the most modern in Latin America.
The photovoltaic generation system, which covers the entire roof of the National Electrical Coordinators office building, consists of 412 photovoltaic panels that complete 132 kW of generation. Six battery charger units for electromobility are available in the parking area.
In a statement it is highlighted that the construction obtained the LEED certification from the United States Green Building Council, based on performance standards related to energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies and sustainability.
The National Electrical Coordinator carries out the operation of the electrical installations that operate interconnected with each other, guarantees open access to all transmission systems, preserves the security of the service in the electrical system and guarantees the most economical operation for all the installations of the electric system. |
