With an investment of more than $492 million, the projects will benefit 22,846 inhabitants and will generate 95 jobs.
The tender was held to expand the sewage networks in the towns of Tránsito and Oncativo, in the province of Córdoba. Both projects will be carried out within the framework of the PROFESA program thanks to an investment of around $492 million and will benefit more than 13,000 inhabitants. The various offers to carry out these works were received by the provinces Ministry of Public Services.
Currently, in Tránsito, sewage effluents are treated through septic tanks and infiltrated into the subsoil through ditches or absorbent wells. This implies an environmental and health problem, due to the contamination of the water resource and the subsoil, which adds to possible overflows. This situation worsened with population growth since it implies a greater volume of effluents.
To resolve this problem, a sewage treatment plant will be built with sufficient capacity to treat 100% of the areas effluents. Added to this great work, which will have facultative lagoons and an automated system, is a pumping station and the installation of 2,240 meters of discharge pipe
The works, which in their development will generate 45 jobs in the San Justo department, contemplate a budget of $343,935,286 million, an execution period of 18 months and, once completed, will benefit more than 6,700 residents.
In addition, the installation of 914 meters of sewage collection networks of various diameters, 15 manholes and 78 home connections is also planned in the town. This project has a budget of $19,076,245 million and an execution period of four months. Likewise, it will benefit more than 6,700 neighbors and will mean the creation of 25 jobs linked to the execution of the works.
Meanwhile, in Oncativo, with an official budget of $129,061,640 million and an execution period of six months, 5,694 meters of sewage collection networks of various diameters will be built, 67 manholes and 435 household connections will be installed, benefiting more than 16,130 neighbours. It should be noted that the development of these works will generate 25 jobs.
