A call for tenders was made for the expansion of the drinking water network in Cañuelas and Máximo Paz, with a budget of $624,516,334 The work will be in charge of the Provincial Directorate of Water and Sewage (DiPAC) that reports to the Undersecretary of Water Resources. The construction project is divided into two parts. The first (A) aims to expand the Potable Water network in neighborhoods of the town of Cañuelas, building two sections of discharge pipe in order to improve the pressure of the network and the expansion of the distribution network in the San Juan neighborhoods. Ignacio, May Day, Morgante and Libertad. The area covered by the improvement is 141 hectares, executing more than 1,500 short home connections and 980 long connections, directly benefiting 7,950 neighbors. In Cañuelas, 2,319 meters of delivery pipe will be installed from San Juan and Perú streets to the intersection of San Vicente and Acuña streets. And 950 meters of pipe will also be placed linking the network between the corner of Rawson and Mozotegui and the intersection of Rawson and Carlos Gardel streets. Meanwhile, part (B) focuses on the town of Máximo Paz, in an approximate area of ??50 hectares, allowing 650 short and 450 long home connections and benefiting 1,300 neighbors. In both cases, the work includes the provision and placement of class 6 PVC pipe, connections to the existing network, placement of hydrants, intakes for motor pumps and valves. Once the work is finished, the operation of the service corresponds to the company ABSA.
