The Ministry of Public Works in Chile has shortlisted five bidders to participate further in tendering process of the International Antarctic Center (CAI) in Punta Arenas, Chile. The center will be developed in a 32,930 sq m area with 21,938 sqm for building and 10,992 sqm of exterior works. It will feature a laboratory, scientific research center, an interactive museum and a logistics area to support Antarctic expeditions.
The five shortlisted bidders are :
Consortium made up of Constructora Salfa SA and Acciona Construccion SA;
Dragados SA;
Moller and Pérez Cotapos S.A.;
Obrascon Huarte Lain SA Agency;
Sacyr Chile S.A.
The estimated investment value for the project is CLP63.92 billion (US$70.03 million). The implementation works for the project are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2023. |
