Offers were opened for the public tender called to develop the expansion works of the current Theater School building, an initiative that is part of the public policies to improve the educational infrastructure of the city and continue strengthening the development of education and culture.
The project will be financed with resources from the Educational Fund and includes the generation of a new classroom, a workshop classroom, a storage space and the construction of an outdoor open-air amphitheater.
The Cooperative Falucho de Vivienda Limitada was presented in the tender with a mandatory basic offer of $21,938,498.20 and an alternative with a financial advance of $20,622,188.20. Now the pre-awarding commission must evaluate all the documentation presented.
The internal reform and expansion will respect the current structure of the building and will be carried out in an existing sector that is not in operation. In that space, the existing gutter roof will be removed and the entire new cover of galvanized sheet metal and sprayed polyurethane insulation will be placed.
Existing plaster repairs will also be completed, the floors will be replaced and the circulation and storage sector will be divided with gypsum rock panels. An outdoor space will be built with accessibility and soil treatment according to the slope of the amphitheater, generating natural stands and conserving the outdoor green space, and a stage will be built at the bottom of the land to be used for outdoor activities.
The new classrooms will have the radiator heating system that already works in the building and the electrical installation in the sector will be completely new, joining the existing network of the already recovered building.
The openings of the counter front will be made of black aluminum with DVH and laminated glass, continuing with the aesthetics of the front of the building, the interior openings of aluminum type Modena 2 or similar (white color)
In addition, the entire interior of the extension will be painted and the back front will be finished with a textured coating of a similar color to the one found on the front of the building.
The Municipal School of Theater operates in a building located at Brandsen 1155, which was remodeled according to the operational needs of the institution. With this new intervention, the Municipality continues with that process that began in 2019, when the new building was inaugurated, with the aim of providing better conditions and comforts to the teachers and the nearly 300 students who attend the careers and courses they offer. |
