The Bermuda government has issued a so-called Public Procurement Notice, inviting bids for the provision of rooftop solar power equipment for approximately thirty buildings, totaling nearly 7 MW.
As can be read in the call made by the government of Bermuda, a British overseas territory made up of more than 150 islands that are located in the Sargasso Sea , in the North Atlantic, the deadline to register is next October 5 , although there are previous dates for informative meetings in the middle of next month.
The photovoltaic energy equipment to be installed on the roofs of approximately thirty Government-owned buildings must be active for a period of not less than twenty-five years from the date of commissioning. The expected execution of the contract is estimated for June 30 of next year.
In the technical considerations, the work required in the framework of the tender will include the design, supply of materials, obtaining permits, installation, start-up, testing, supervision and leasing "in perfect operating conditions of the approximately 7 MW rooftop solar power for the Government of Bermuda in the most effective and efficient manner, in accordance with all the requirements of the contractual agreement.”
The installations of the so-called Roof Mounted Solar Power System (SPS) comprise - although it is clarified that they are not limited to them - the following elements: photovoltaic modules, power conditioning units, inverter, charger controller, control panel and boxes. junction boxes, distribution boxes and switches, roof mounting structures, patch cords, MC4 connectors, cabling, conduit and accessories with IR/UV protection, grounding and lightning protection systems, complete installations and long-term rental term.
One clarification is that the SPS system “must be designed with the necessary characteristics. components and parts used in SPS plants and must comply with international specifications and Solar Under Storm Part”. |
