Darío Martínez in Ezeiza, participated in the
Together with the Interim Mayor of Ezeiza, Gastón Granados, and the Mayor of Marcos Paz, Ricardo Curutchet, the Secretary of Energy of the Nation, Darío Martínez, participated in the award ceremony for the installation of two banks of capacitors of 125 MVAr each in the Ezeiza Transformer Station. With a total investment of 923 million pesos, this work will improve the stability of the electrical system and will allow facing contingencies in this fundamental node for the energy ring of the Metropolitan Area of ??Buenos Aires, with an impact on more than 18 million inhabitants and 50% of the national interconnected system.
“This is the path for an Argentina that demands energy from us, for an Argentina that is betting on industry again, with growth that has to do with more work and more opportunities instead of an Argentina focused on a financial scheme. We are focused on an Argentina of real work, that work that demands energy and that must arrive in a federal way. That is why we are making decisions so that this energy in quantity and quality reaches every corner of our Argentina”, expressed Darío Martínez.
With a budget of 923 million pesos, including the equipment already acquired, the work will improve the voltage control in the network at the Ezeiza Node. In addition, it will increase reactive power, necessary at times of high demand in Greater Buenos Aires both in summer and winter, and will allow synchronous compensators to operate with margin to deal with contingencies in the high-voltage transmission network and in the event of loss of generators in the metropolitan area. In this way, it will avoid voltage collapses and demand cuts in the event of disturbances to the network linked to the Node, giving greater flexibility and reliability to the system and helping to maintain its stability.
“It is an enormous satisfaction to be in Marcos Paz. On my part, to accompany Darío in everything he is undertaking since he took charge of the Secretary of Energy. We are in the territory day by day and we see how the infrastructure in electrical matters is improving, the big outages that we have had little by little are becoming a thing of the past, and that is due to a very strong investment by the National State and by the of the Ministry of Energy. Those of us who are with the neighbors every day can attest that this is correct and you will always find us accompanying everything related to energy development because it gives a better quality of life to the neighbors,” said Gastón Granados. .
In the same sense, Ricardo Curutchet expressed: “Thanks to Darío for visiting the district. As Mayor and as a neighbor of Marcos Paz, it is a pride that, with the presence of the National State and public-private articulation, it is possible to invest, to solve and plan our country moving forward. Those of us who are from the area know the strategic importance of this Transener presence here. The neighbor on foot does not know of the fundamental work that they carry out so that 18 million citizens have their electricity service. With this decision to invest and plan to improve the service, the country becomes great, improving the quality of life of its citizens. Each one is in their role to achieve an inclusive country that gives equality for all”.
In addition to the installation of two 125 MVAr capacitor banks, the work foresees the laying of two sets of 220 kV underground cables, the installation of 12 220 kV terminals, 220 kV bus connection fields, protection equipment, control and maneuver and buildings for command of protection and control equipment.
To conclude, Pablo Tarca, Director of Transener, referred to the importance of the work: “We do not see reactive power in daily use, but it is absolutely necessary for the provision of our service. In the summer there are usually phenomena of consumption collapse in places where it is very hot, precisely this type of device avoids the risk of having voltage collapses and greatly improves the quality of the supply”.
