The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) in Pakistan has approved the project proposal and budget presented for Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M6) concession. The new cost estimation for the project is PKR308.20 billion (US$1.48 billion).
The National Highway Authority will act as the contracting authority for the project. The motorway project will be constructed on a build, operate, transfer (BOT) basis for a concession duration of 25 years.
The project involves the development of a 306 km long green-field 6-lane between Sukkur and Hyderabad in Sindh province. Out of PKR308.20 billion (US$1.48 billion), the government will provide PKR10.3 billion (US$49,5 million) including establishment charges and contingency costs. |
