Work Detail The Ministry of the Interior, through the Secretary of Provinces, Silvina Batakis; and the undersecretary of Policies for Development with Regional Equity, Martín Pollera; signed the award for the paving of 18 km. of Provincial Route No. 3 of Santa Fe, in the section that goes from the town of Cañada Ombú to Los Amores, which will be key for the productive development of the area. The work, framed in the Provinces II Program and which contemplates an investment of 1,603 million pesos, aims to guarantee an adequate level of passability from the interconnection of the towns in the area, and its continuation towards the province of Chaco. Likewise, it will bring about a decrease in transportation costs and an improvement in travel times. "This is a long-awaited project for the province of Santa Fe, and essential to revive the entire productive matrix of the area, and specifically also of the Submeridional Lowlands, because it will connect this region of Santa Fe with the province of Chaco," highlighted the Secretary of Provinces of the Ministry of the Interior, portfolio in charge of Wado de Pedro. For his part, Martín Pollera added: “Through this award, the alteo and paving of the Cañada Ombú-Los Amores section will be addressed, ensuring the flow of traffic and, consequently, enabling the normal development of essential services for the inhabitants of the region, such as access to education and health. Similarly, it will be a great contribution to the development of provincial production." The works also include the construction of drains, placement of metal defenses, horizontal and vertical signage, construction of a pedestrian path and installation of lighting in the urban area of ??Los Amores, and installation of checkpoints and detention docks for passenger transport. With a length of 167 km, Provincial Route No. 3 -which begins near the Santa Fe city of Vera and ends at the interprovincial border with Chaco- is paved from the junction with National Route No. 11 to the town of Los Tábanos, while the section between the latter town and Cañada Ombú is currently in the process of being paved. The route crosses the Submeridional Lowlands region, which suffers successive periods of floods and droughts, with significant negative consequences on production, the environment and the social conditions of the inhabitants of the area.
