Work Detail The province will make a total investment close to 250 million pesos. It will be for the Guadalupe Central, Transportation, Belgrano, Alberdi and Unión y Trabajo neighborhoods, within the framework of the Include Plan. Perotti opened the envelopes with the economic offers of the tenders for the retrofitting of the lighting systems in Santa Fe neighborhoods. Governor Omar Perotti, together with the mayor of Santa Fe, Emilio Jatón, opened this Friday at the Galician Center, the envelopes with the economic offers of the tenders for the readjustment of the lighting systems of the neighborhoods Guadalupe Central, Transportation, Belgrano, Alberdi and Unión y Trabajo, within the framework of the Include Plan. The total investment is more than 248 million pesos. On the occasion, Perotti expressed that "today is an important date for the amounts that are tendered, for the objectives that are sought, and because it has to do with one of the provincial programs in which we are paying special attention to improve the lighting of the cities and also their security”. Along these lines, the governor pointed out that “prevention action is one of the strongest demands; and lighting, weeding, cleaning, are essential elements in each neighborhood. We have noticed that, in the two large cities of the province especially, there is a significant delay in terms of lighting, and the need to help the municipalities to catch up is key. The greatest demand that mayors receive when it comes to security has to do with improving lighting and generating safe corridors, with a greater presence of mobile phones and police officers. And we are going along that line”, he highlighted. “If we improve the lighting, it transmits more tranquility, and all the effort that is made in placing cameras is better used because better images are obtained. Undoubtedly, it is a local task to take care of the lighting and do the corresponding maintenance; but we need to do it and in the shortest possible time. For this reason, putting cities in tune and, fundamentally, in many of the sectors where the delay in lighting is great, allows us to improve security, managing together”, affirmed the president. In this framework, the head of the Provincial Executive recalled that “the Include Program incorporated a reinforcement to work on lighting issues in the main cities of the province. If we improve lighting and care for the environment, we are adding another very important element”, he assured. Finally, the governor thanked "the neighbors organized in their neighborhood, because it is a community instance of high value, it is the one that takes time away from their family, their friends, their leisure time, to work for the neighbors and for this neighborhood as the most important thing, and always the most important claim is that of your neighborhood, which should come first”. Perotti concluded his speech by pointing out that “it is up to the mayor and the officials to order those priorities, but it is good that each neighbor feels that their neighborhood is the first, there a city begins to be made, to build each one of the possibilities so that a city work better." IMPACT ON NEIGHBORHOODS In his turn, Jatón expressed that “today is not just another day in the city of Santa Fe, but one of those that are expected. We are not talking about changing a light bulb, but about security, about living better and that the new lighting system in the city is going to be different, taking it to 65% Led lighting by the end of the year”. The mayor added that “today we are tendering these works with provincial funds, based on an agreement that we reached with the governor that requires an investment of 250 million pesos. This will have a direct impact on the neighborhoods of Santa Fe. Many times there is talk of differences, of different views, but here those views converge, with the province and the municipality at the service of improving peoples quality of life. The event, held at the Galician Center in the city of Santa Fe, was also attended by the provinces Minister of Public Management, Marcos Corach; the Secretary of Integration and Institutional Strengthening, José Luis Freyre; the national deputy, Roberto Mirabella; the director of Urban Management of the Municipality of Santa Fe, Matías Pons Estel; and the local councilor Jorgelina Mudallel, among other provincial and municipal authorities and representatives of neighborhood associations.
