CaixaBank ha concedido a la empresa una línea verde de avales de 40 millones de euros. FRV prevé llevar a cabo inversiones por más de 1.500 millones de dólares y superar los 4 GW en 2024.
The Spanish bank CaixaBank has granted the Spanish renewable company Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), now part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy, a green line of guarantees worth 40 million euros (about 42 million dollars).
"This green line will be available for one year, which may be renewed, and will allow FRV to develop green projects that have a positive impact on the environment, as well as improve its financial flexibility", states FRV in a press release, adding which plans to carry out investments of more than 1,500 million dollars with the aim of doubling the total installed capacity, and far exceeding 4 GW in 2024, "always betting on new business models and innovative technologies such as batteries and green hydrogen", the company says.
According to its web portal, FRV has started the construction of hybrid projects in Chile. Of course, from the 371 MW Tirana Oeste hybrid plant, located in Chile, which pv magazine announced in February . The project was admitted for the environmental impact study that same month and FRV expects it to come online in 2025.
With a nominal capacity of 371 MW of peak power and 159 MW of battery storage, Tirana Oeste is located in the Tarapacá region of Chile. The project will cover an area of ??655 hectares. Also under construction in Chile is FRVs 432 MW project in Chile called Llanos de Marañón, in the Atacama region, which includes 120 MW of battery storage.
CaixaBank, for its part, affirms that, in 2021, 15 sustainable Transactional Banking operations were carried out that mobilized 4,188 million euros with companies from various sectors, with pioneering operations in factoring, confirming or guarantee lines, among others. Also last year, it mobilized 31,375 million euros in sustainable financing, which represented a 150% increase in the volume of sustainable financing compared to 2020. CaixaBank was positioned at the end of the first quarter of 2022 as the 6th bank in Europe in green and sustainable loans in the Top Tier League Tables by volume, according to Refinitiv and is the best placed Spanish bank in this classification. |
