They are about 25 kilometers from the junction of National Route 95 and Provincial Route No. 4. "Having roads in very good condition is the basis for the progress of the towns," said the governor. During the next month, Chaco will have 250 kilometers of construction simultaneously.
Within the framework of the road infrastructure plan that is developed throughout the Chaco territory, Governor Jorge Capitanich together with Deputy Governor Analía Rach Quiroga today signed the contract for the start of the resurfacing work on Provincial Route No. 6 , of the section that goes from the junction of the national route N°95, in San Bernardo; until the junction with provincial route No. 4, in Villa Berthet.
"Having routes in very good condition is the basis for the economic, spiritual and material progress of the peoples, because when we make a route, we connect where there is no road connectivity that joins rural areas, dispersed rural communities or urban communities" said the governor, celebrating the new work that will start in July.
Precisely during the next month, Chaco will have 250 kilometers of roads under construction simultaneously, Capitanich said, on his social networks.
With an investment of almost 930 million pesos, financed by the Provincial Roads Directorate (DVP), the work has an execution period of 12 months, where potholes will be carried out throughout the section, construction of a fine asphalt concrete base, construction of asphalt concrete layer of different thicknesses, sewers, construction of docks and passenger shelter, sidewalks in the access to Villa Berthet, metal railings and horizontal and vertical signage.
Silvia Batakis, Secretary of Municipalities of the Ministry of the Interior, participated in the act, via videoconference. In person were: the Minister of Planning, Economy and Infrastructure, Santiago Pérez Pons; the General Administrator of the Provincial Road Administration, Hugo Varela; the mayors Germán Honcheruk (Villa Berthet) and Miguel Sotelo (San Bernardo); and the representative of the awarded firm Vial Agro SA, Santiago Vallejos.
The tender for the work is part of the Federal Regional Infrastructure Program. In this context, Capitanich thanked the support of the Ministry of the Interior, "both Minister Wado De Pedro and Silvia Batakis, and the entire team that manages the program because we work together to execute common objectives and goals," he said.
Connectivity plan for the localities of the province
Capitanich recalled that, in 2007, about 44 of the 69 localities were connected, “now there are 70 with Aboriginal Colony, according to our projections, they will all be connected, which means an investment of 1,150 kilometers of route. It exceeds twice the routes that were built in the last 71 years of provincialization, ”he said.
Finally, the president of Chaco stated that “producers need routes to transport merchandise and during the execution process of the work it has a high impact in terms of effect for the employment generated by workers, good income by collective agreement; and in turn, when the workshops are set up, it is always necessary to provide food for the workers and these are services that are provided in the towns”, he concluded.
A key project for a productive region
The Minister of Infrastructure, Economy and Infrastructure, Santiago Pérez Pons announced that the work would begin in the coming weeks. “We are in a very productive area of ??the province where it is essential that road connectivity is in good condition because it lowers costs for producers and companies in the agricultural sector, in addition to improving road safety for all the people who travel this route,” remarked the Minister.
The General Administrator of Provincial Roads, Hugo Varela, recalled that the resurfacing and comprehensive rehabilitation of Route 6 is timely given that “it has deteriorated quite a bit over time and it is a corridor with a lot of traffic. In the southwest, routes 6 and 4 are used a lot, avoiding the high traffic of the route between Sáenz Peña and Quitilipi”, he pointed out. Based on that "a structural solution has been designed, the reinforcement layers are of a significant thickness so that it has many years of useful life", Varela clarified.
Happiness in the communes of the area
The mayor of Villa Berthet, Germán Honcheruk, celebrated the signing of the resurfacing act, assuring that "it is a work long awaited by the people of Berthet, which also benefits all the neighboring towns," he said. In addition, it will have a great social impact due to employment, labor, economic reactivation and will directly favor production. "This route decongests and speeds up the transport of merchandise, and it is not the same to transit a route in poor condition than one in good condition," he concluded.
The mayor of San Bernardo, Miguel Sotelo, also celebrated the work that will benefit producers and that will also provide road safety for the entire commune. “We know the importance of road infrastructure and we know that it is a very significant advance. It is auspicious, to be part of this region that is quite distant from Resistencia and to have this federal look inside the province is to stand out, ”he concluded. |
